Non-dominant and leading-tone seventh chords, modal mixture, harmonic sequences, the Neapolitan sixth chord, augmented sixth chords, altered and extended dominant chords, embellishing diminished seventh chords, and techniques of modulation to closely-related and distantly-related keys.
Concepts and techniques are presented and discussed in the lectures; assignments are undertaken by the students.
