Fitness class descriptions

Pilates Flow will help ease chronic muscle pain or tension, increase energy, and bring balance and momentum to your body. The functional strength elements help to improve posture by strengthening the core and back while keeping your body aligned. 

Needing that extra boost to get through the mid-week stretch? Strength and stabilize the mind and body with a Power Yoga class that will help you tone, sculpt, and recharge to tackle the rest of your week with confidence.

Strength HIIT is a challenging circuit of different resistance exercises meant to help you improve your strength while gaining core stability, balance & coordination. All fitness levels are welcome to join & learn different ways to use equipment in the movement studio. Circuit training is a station-oriented workout.

Learn and grow together in this All-Levels Yoga class. Movements are adapted to enhance the experience of the yoga practice for each student, from beginner to advanced. This class is focused on breath and body awareness, building strength, balance and self-care. Amanda's peaceful and playful presence will allow you to be guided into relaxation, to release any stress, and to refresh.

Zumba is a high-energy dance fitness program that combines Latin and international music with dance moves to create a fun, engaging workout. It's designed for people of all fitness levels and ages, focusing on cardio and core strengthening while making exercise feel like a party. Come to Zumba to find an enjoyable way to stay active, meet new people, and improve your overall fitness.

Spin is an indoor cycling workout that combines music, motivation, and movement to create a powerful cardio experience. Its designed for all fitness levels, focusing on endurance, strength, and interval training while keeping the energy high and the vibe fun.


Peak Sports Performance Enhanced Fitness Classes

As part of 做厙51s commitment to mental health, the Athletics & Recreation department is dedicated to supporting physical health on campus for everyone in the community. Cody Low (pictured below), the 做厙51 Royals Strength and Conditioning coach and head of Peak Sports Performance, is offering enhanced fitness offerings to both college staff and students.

These fitness offerings are catered to all skill levels, and all offerings will be held at the the Fitness Center, room N1330, at the New Westminster Campus. Email cody@peaksportsperformance.ca for registration and additional info. Please note the additional cost associated with these offerings.

Personal Fitness Training (1-1) 

This full-body workout class is guaranteed to satisfy your strength training needs that are important for longevity, reduce injury and feed physical goals.

Dates:  September 2nd-August 31st, 2026 
Time: Monday-Thursday 10AM-7PM, Friday 10AM-5PM
Days: Monday Friday (no usage during the weekends or College Closures times) 
Program costs: 

  • One (1) client $110/hour 

  • Six (6) week written fitness plan $120

 

About our instructor for Peak Sports Performance Enhanced Fitness Classes

Cody Low has been an integral part of the Athletics & Recreation department, helping our student-athletes meet the physical demands of their sport. His resume includes previous positions with the Vancouver Whitecaps and Canada Soccer in a high-performance sports training capacity.

Alongside his passion for training athletes, Cody also supports people of all age groups and skill levels as a personal trainer, leading classes on weight loss, pain management, and the foundational techniques in weight training. Cody brings an inclusive lens to the weight room, a space that can often be daunting to more inexperienced users.
